Check a payment QR card before printing

Test the destination, keep the code clear and avoid common layout mistakes.

Test the destination, keep the code clear and avoid common layout mistakes.

Confirm whose code you are using

Open the source QR image and test it with the appropriate scanning app. Check the displayed recipient or destination carefully. A clear-looking code can still point to the wrong account or an old link.

Use artwork you are authorised to print. This service prints the supplied design; it does not verify ownership of a payment account or change the destination embedded in the code.

Leave space around the code

Keep the QR code square and preserve its clear border. Do not stretch it into a rectangle, place a decorative frame over its edges or put text across its pattern.

Choose strong contrast and a plain background. Use the original high-quality image rather than a small crop from a screenshot. Keep the code away from the rounded card corners and trim area.

Test at the intended physical size

Print a paper proof at the intended size and scan it under ordinary lighting. Test from more than one phone if available. A screen preview alone does not show whether your final layout makes the code too small.

If the code cannot be scanned reliably, enlarge it or simplify the surrounding design before sending the file. There is no single size that guarantees every code and every scanning condition will work.

Recheck after receiving the card

Scan the finished card before displaying it for customers. Check the recipient or destination again and keep the surface clean and unobstructed.

For a payment code, customers should confirm the recipient within their payment app before completing a transaction. Never place a password, PIN or OTP in the printed design.
