A licence gets pulled out at every check, and the card wears. A PVC copy is stiff, wipes clean and keeps its shape. With driving licence PVC card printing, you upload your licence, and we print it on a card the size of a debit card, front and back, in full colour.

Where to find your file

If your licence or RC is saved in DigiLocker, download it as a PDF and upload that. A PDF is the cleanest file, with no glare or cut-off corners. The steps are in our guide to downloading your driving licence and RC from DigiLocker. If you only have the physical card, photograph both sides flat in daylight with all four corners visible.

What a licence shows

A driving licence carries your photo, your name, the licence number, your date of birth, the dates it is valid and the vehicle classes you may drive. Common classes are LMV for a light motor vehicle such as a car, MCWG for a motorcycle with gear and MCWOG for a motorcycle without gear. The card prints exactly what your file shows. We cannot add or remove a class.

State layouts

Licences from different states and different years look different, and we never change a layout. We print what your file shows, so a Maharashtra card prints as a Maharashtra card and a West Bengal card prints as a West Bengal card. Use the general page if your state does not have its own.

Your RC

A registration certificate lists the registration number, the owner's name, the date of registration, the make and model, the chassis and engine numbers and the vehicle class. If you have more than one vehicle, upload a file for each RC and name the files by vehicle.

Driving licence PVC card printing costs ₹50 a card. The delivery charge depends on your location, and delivery is free on orders above ₹999.

A private print

We are a private printing service, not a transport authority. The card is a copy of your own licence and does not replace it. We cannot renew a licence or change any detail. For licence services, use the official Parivahan portal. Never send a password or an OTP to anyone.

Keep your documents together

Many drivers keep the licence, the RC and the insurance in one folder. A PVC copy of each slides into the same folder and does not bend like paper. Keep the originals safe at home, and keep a PDF on your phone as well.

Common problems and what to do

• The document is not found in DigiLocker: type the licence or registration number exactly as the screen asks.
• Your vehicle is registered in another state: choose the transport department that issued it.
• The photo of the card is blurry: retake it in daylight, flat on a table, with the camera straight above the card.
• You cannot sign in: DigiLocker sends an OTP to your mobile number, so use the number linked to your account.

Cards for a family of drivers

If several people in your family hold licences, upload a file for each person and set the quantity to match. Keep each person's front and back together, and name the files clearly so the cards go to the right people.

Before you travel

Check the validity dates on your licence before a long trip. If the licence is close to expiry, renew it with the transport authority first and print from the new file. A printed copy does not extend a licence.

Looking after the card

A PVC card is tough, but it is not unbreakable. Keep it away from heat, such as a car dashboard in summer, and do not bend it. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth. If the print gets scratched, order a new card from the same file.

What we do not do

We do not renew a licence, add a vehicle class, change an address or check a licence against any record. We print the file you give us, nothing more. If your licence needs an update, make it with the transport authority first, then download the new file and print from that.

If your PDF has a password

Some files are locked. Upload the PDF in the normal way, and a box appears for its password. Type it there and carry on. The password is used only to open the file for printing.
