Thirteen to sixteen photos in one frame
A frame with thirteen or more pictures is closer to a wall of memories than a single image. This page has 47 layouts for 13 to 16 photos, and they work best at the larger size, because each photo in a 4 × 4 grid is only a few centimetres wide.
The classic is the 4 × 4 grid of sixteen equal squares, sometimes drawn as a window pane with thin dividers. Others stack rows of five, four and four for thirteen, or five, five, four and two for sixteen, or use three tall columns. Mosaics mix large and small tiles, tessellations interlock shapes, and a layout with three big hero photos plus thirteen small ones gives a focal point. A scattered-polaroid wall and a matte-black frame with white grid lines are the most decorative.
For best results, use photos that are clear at a small size: faces close to the camera, simple backgrounds. Group photos with distant faces get lost. A 13 photo frame is an easy way to show a wedding week, a year of a baby's life, or a long holiday.
If this feels too busy, try 9 to 12 photo frames. If you want even more, see 20 to 30 photo frames.
