If you have ever held a debit card, you already know what a PVC card is. It is a flat, rigid plastic card made of polyvinyl chloride, with rounded corners and a printed face that does not tear, crease or soften in a wallet. Banks use it for debit cards, offices use it for staff passes, and gyms and salons use it for membership cards.

Plenty of us also want a plastic copy of a document they already own, such as an Aadhaar or a driving licence. A paper printout folds and fades, while a PVC card stays stiff for years of daily use. Every PVC card page on GiftKida follows the same four steps, so you only learn the process once.

• Upload your file as a PDF, or as front and back images in JPG or PNG. Each file can be up to 50 MB, and a locked PDF is fine because you enter its password after uploading.

PVC card printing price

The price on this site is ₹50 for every card. The price on the product page is the price you pay for the card itself. The only extra is the delivery charge, which depends on your PIN code, and delivery is free once your order goes above ₹999.

Because there is no minimum order, one card is a normal order. Families often order four or five cards in one go, one for each person, and businesses order a card for every staff member.

PVC card size

Every card here is 85.6 mm wide and 54 mm tall, with rounded corners. That is the ID-1 size defined in the ISO/IEC 7810 standard, the same as a debit card, so it slides into any card holder or wallet slot. Where to get your file

Most personal-document PVC cards are printed from the PDF that the official service gives you, not from a photo of the paper card. The PDF is sharper and the text is easier to read.

PVC, laminated or paper

A paper copy is cheap, but it bends at the corners within weeks. A laminated copy is stiffer, but the plastic film can lift at the edges when it gets damp. A PVC card is a single rigid piece, so a wallet or a bag does not damage it. Ordering for a family or a team

For a family, upload one file per person and set the quantity to match. For a team, design one card, change the photo and details for each person, and upload each card as a separate file. Keep your design file, so you can order a single card whenever someone new joins.

• Check that the front and the back are the right way round.
• Scan any QR code with a second phone.
• Confirm the delivery address and PIN code.
