You have two real choices when you want a few PVC cards.

PVC card size

Settle the card size before you start designing. The standard size is 85.6 mm by 54 mm, often called CR80. It follows the ID-1 size that bank cards use, which is why it fits card holders, wallets and card slots. Design your card at that size, or at the same proportions in a larger file, and keep text and logos a few millimetres inside the edge.

Design size, in pixels

To keep a card sharp, build your design at 300 dots per inch. At that resolution a card of 85.6 by 54 mm is about 1,011 by 638 pixels. If you work in a design tool, you can also set the page to 85.6 by 54 mm and export a PDF. For a portrait card, swap the numbers: about 638 by 1,011 pixels.

Making your own design

If you have no design yet, a free tool such as Canva lets you set a custom page size. Set it to 85.6 by 54 mm, design your card, and download it as a PDF. Then upload the PDF here. The PVC card size and design guide has the pixel sizes and margins.

Keep it safe from the edge

Rounded corners and normal trimming take a little off the edge, so keep names, numbers and logos about three millimetres inside it. A background colour or picture can run to the very edge, because a small trim will not spoil it.

Common mistakes

• Exporting a tiny image and hoping it will fill the card.
• Putting a name or a phone number right at the border.
• Light grey text on a white background, which is hard to read on a small card.
• Uploading one file where the front and back are on the wrong sides.

Front only, or front and back

Plenty of cards only need a front. If yours has a back, such as terms, a map or a QR code, upload it as the second file and we print both sides. Name the files clearly so they do not get mixed up. If your PDF has a password, enter it after the upload.

How to order

• Choose a quantity from 1 to 10.
• Upload your design as a PDF, or as JPG or PNG images for the front and back. Files can be up to 50 MB.

What happens after you order

When you place the order, your design is checked for orientation and cut-off edges. The card is printed in a day, packed flat and sent to your address, and it arrives 5 to 8 days later. If a file cannot be opened or looks incomplete, we may contact you before printing.

Each card costs ₹50, whatever your design. It is printed in a day and delivered in 5 to 8 days. Delivery is charged by location, and it is free above ₹999.
