Where to get a file to upload

If your licence is saved in DigiLocker, you can download it as a PDF. Upload that file here. A PDF is sharper than a photo. The mParivahan app also shows your licence. If you only have the card, photograph both sides on a plain surface in daylight, with the camera straight above the card so the lines do not slope. What a licence shows

A driving licence carries your photo, name, licence number, date of birth, the dates it is valid, the vehicle classes you may drive and the issuing office. Read these on your screen before you upload. If any of them is hard to read there, the card will not be clearer.

Check your validity

Before you print, look at the validity dates on your licence. If the licence is close to expiry, renew it first through the transport authority and print from the new file. A printed copy does not extend a licence.

State layouts

Licences from different states and different years look different. We never change a layout. We print what your file shows, so a Maharashtra card prints as a Maharashtra card and a West Bengal card prints as a West Bengal card. If your state has its own page, such as Maharashtra or West Bengal, you can use that. Otherwise use this one.

What happens after you order
