Assam Driving Licence PVC Card

An Assam driving licence PVC card is a wipe-clean copy of your licence for the wet season and the dry. Upload the PDF or photos, pay ₹50 a card and the print is done in 1 day.

## A document that can handle the monsoon

Assam gets heavy rain, and a paper licence or a worn card does not like it. Drivers in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Tezpur and Nagaon know how a damp bag can ruin a document. A PVC card is made of plastic. Rain does not soak it, and a wipe with a cloth cleans it. This page prints your licence file on that material.

## The picture on this page

The card in the picture is an illustration of the layout. The name, photo and licence number are made up and refer to no real person. Your printed card uses only your own file.

## Quick facts

• PVC, 85.6 by 54 mm, rounded corners.
• Front and back printed.
• ₹50 a card, 1 to 10 per order.
• Delivery costs nothing on orders above ₹999.

## What the Sarathi page for Assam shows

The Sarathi portal has an Assam page headed Transport Department, Government of Assam. Its Driving Licence menu lists applying for a new licence, services on an existing licence such as renewal, duplicate and address change, printing an international driving permit, printing a driving licence, a DL extract print and a driving licence test sheet. You can open it at Sarathi for Assam. The print driving licence option is the one that gives you a file for this order.

## After an address change

If you have moved and changed the address on your licence through the department, download the updated file before you order. A card printed from the old file will still show the old address. Check the address line on the new file before you pay.

## State code and the right page

An Assam driving licence PVC card is meant for a licence issued in Assam, which carries AS at the start of the number, followed by the RTO code, year and a serial. Licences from other states go to their own pages, or you can begin at the general PVC driving licence card order online page.

## Choosing a file

• A PDF from DigiLocker, which is complete and sharp.
• The page from the print driving licence option on Sarathi.
• A photo of each side, taken in daylight.

## Taking a good photo on a rainy day

Rainy days are dim. Use a window, switch on a plain white lamp if needed and avoid a flash. Keep the card flat and the phone parallel above it. Wipe the phone lens first, since a smudge is the commonest reason for a soft photo.

## Reading the licence

On the file, read the name, the date of birth and the licence number. Then read the validity dates and the vehicle classes. LMV is a light motor vehicle, MCWG a motorcycle with gear. If a detail is wrong, the Assam transport authority has to correct it first.

## The order steps

Whether you live in Guwahati or a district town, you order pvc driving licence cards the same way, and the Assam DL PVC card you get is printed from your own file.

• Choose the quantity.
• Choose your PDF, or photos of the two sides, with a 50 MB cap on each file.
• Add the password if the PDF is locked.
• Pay online.

## Printing and shipping to Assam

We check the file first and may call if it will not open. Printing takes 1 day. The card is packed flat. Delivery takes 5 to 8 days, and addresses in the hills or across the river may be at the longer end. Add a landmark and a phone number at checkout.

## Different words, one card

You might look for assam dl pvc card, pvc driving licence assam or assam licence card print. They lead to one product here: a PVC print of your licence.

## Looking after a licence in a humid climate

Humidity is the quiet enemy of a paper licence. Pages go soft, ink spreads and a wallet that stays damp for a week starts to smell. An Assam driving licence PVC card does not take up water, so it stays flat in a damp bag and comes clean with one wipe. Keep it in a card holder rather than loose with coins, and let the wallet dry out if it ever gets soaked. Store the original licence, or its DigiLocker copy, somewhere dry at home. The PVC copy is the one for the road, and if it is lost in a flood or a crowded bus, the file you uploaded lets you reorder the same card.

## Drivers on the job

Cab drivers, school bus drivers and goods vehicle drivers in Assam show their licence often. A spare PVC card saves the original from rain and wear. You can keep the original at home and carry the copy.

## Taking care

Keep the card in a holder and wipe it dry after rain. Do not leave it on a hot dashboard. Keep the PDF in your email so you can reprint. The guide to downloading a licence PDF from DigiLocker shows the steps.

## What this card is

GiftKida prints a private copy of your own licence. The Transport Department of Assam has not issued it, and it does not replace the licence. Nothing can be edited, and we do not ask for a password or an OTP.
