PAN Card Reprint: Official vs PVC Print

Need a reprint of your PAN card? Understand official replacements, duplicate print copies, e-PAN downloads and private PVC printing before choosing a service.

Need a reprint of your PAN card? Understand official replacements, duplicate print copies, e-PAN downloads and private PVC printing before choosing a service.

A reprint of a PAN card can mean two different things

You may need an issuer-provided replacement card, or simply another print of an existing document you already hold. Decide which result you need first. An official reprint uses the relevant official PAN service; a private PVC print reproduces the file supplied to an independent printer.

This website supplies independent printing only. It does not issue PAN numbers, correct PAN records, submit government applications or provide government-authorised reprints. It is not affiliated with the Income Tax Department, Protean eGov Technologies or UTIITSL. Check the receiving organisation’s requirements if you need a particular original or verification method.

Choose an official PAN reprint for an issuer-provided replacement

If your goal is an official replacement, use the relevant official route. Protean, formerly NSDL eGov, and UTIITSL publish PAN service options, instructions and requirements. Follow the provider’s current guidance for your situation rather than assuming that every applicant can use the same process.

A change to a name, photograph or other recorded detail is different from printing an unchanged copy. Resolve record corrections through the appropriate official service first. This guide does not quote official fees or processing dates, which should be checked on the provider’s current website.

Duplicate PAN card print from a file you already have

If you need an additional private copy of an existing file, you can order a PVC PAN card print. Supply your existing e-PAN PDF or clear authorised images and select the number of physical cards. A repeat print here does not create a second PAN number or change the original record.

A PAN card plastic print is a physical reproduction of your supplied layout. Do not assume that a privately printed copy replaces an official card for every purpose. Ask the organisation requesting the document which form or verification method it accepts before purchasing a print for that use.

Missing your file? Obtain an e-PAN through the official provider

A printer needs a printable document; a PAN number by itself is not a print file. If you no longer have the document, check the appropriate official provider for e-PAN access and its current eligibility or authentication requirements. The Income Tax Department’s Instant e-PAN manual includes a view/download process for that service.

Do not send account passwords or OTPs to a printer, and do not upload Aadhaar details merely to request a lookup. Obtain your document yourself. Once you have the file, inspect the contents and unlock a protected PDF on your own device before uploading a separate print-ready copy.

Check the right order or application status

For an official PAN application or reprint request, use the status tools linked by the provider that handled it. A private printing order reference cannot track an official application. Avoid sharing your full PAN number or account credentials in a general support message.

For an order placed on this website, use the print-order tracking page with your order reference and order email for available updates. Contact our support about that print order, file preparation or delivery destination. Confirm any fixed deadline before ordering; this guide does not promise immediate printing or same-day delivery.
