e-Aadhaar PDF and PVC Print Guide

How an e-Aadhaar file becomes a PVC print: which version to use, how to unlock and check it, and what the print is and is not.

How an e-Aadhaar file becomes a PVC print: which version to use, how to unlock and check it, and what the print is and is not.

Where the file comes from

Aadhaar is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Alongside the Aadhaar letter, UIDAI provides a digital copy, the e-Aadhaar PDF, and a masked version through its official services. Those services and their steps change, so use the official portal and its helpdesk for the current process.

A PVC print is made from a file you already hold. We do not download, issue or change an Aadhaar for you.

Choose the version to print

The full e-Aadhaar shows the whole 12-digit number. A masked Aadhaar hides the first digits and shows only the last four. If you do not need the full number printed on a card you carry, print the masked version. We print exactly what the file shows and cannot hide a number for you.

Unlock and check the PDF

An e-Aadhaar PDF is password-protected. Unlock it on your own device and upload the open file. Never send a password or an OTP to anyone, including us; we only need the document or its images.

Zoom in until the card fills your screen. The photograph, name, number and QR code should stay sharp. A blurred QR code prints blurred, so use the original download, not a screenshot of a screenshot.

Order the print

Choose the Aadhaar product, upload the file, pick the quantity and review the total, including delivery, before paying. We do not promise a delivery time, so ask support before ordering for a fixed date.

What a PVC print is and is not

A PVC print is a durable copy of your file. It is not issued by UIDAI and carries no security feature of its own. Read the validity guide before relying on a print for any official purpose.

About this guide

Prepared by GiftKida and last updated on 27 October 2026. We describe the printing step only; for your Aadhaar itself, use UIDAI. This is general information, not legal advice. If something here is unclear or out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.
