A clear private print still needs to reproduce the correct current licence.

Read the dates in context

A licence may show more than one date, and different entries can have different purposes. Read the field labels in the source instead of assuming the largest date is the only relevant one. A printing service cannot decide your driving entitlement or extend validity. Use the official licensing service for those questions.

Keep vehicle classes and conditions complete

Check the classes and any conditions or endorsements present, including the reverse. Do not crop a card so only the name and photograph remain. Pair sides from the same current document version; an older back and a newer front can be inconsistent even if they belong to the same holder.

Resolve official changes before printing

Renewal, correction and class additions must be completed through the appropriate transport process. Then obtain the resulting current file. A PVC copy does not provide an official chip, create a new licence or replace an authority’s issuance process. Keep the original or an official issued digital record available for verification.
