Passport photo backgrounds: original or white preparation?

The most reliable starting point is a portrait already taken against the background your application requires. A plain light wall, even lighting and a clear facial outline usually make preparation easier than trying to remove a busy scene later.

The two orderable services

The standard passport photo product keeps your uploaded background. Its price comes from the pack and size selected on that page.

The white-background photo product is a separate service with its own current pack prices. Follow that product's upload instructions. Its full price is displayed on the page; it is not a universal ₹50 add-on to every other passport pack.

Other background colours are not selectable paid options in these products. Contact support before paying if your form specifies a different colour or preparation process. Do not assume a colour request written in the notes automatically creates an agreed extra service or price.

Editing may be restricted

An authority may require an unaltered photograph or restrict digital background changes. The US Department of State's passport photo guidance explains its own photo and editing rules. Read the requirements for your actual application before ordering any retouching service.

A new white background does not correct motion blur, an angled head, an old photograph or an obscured face. It also cannot establish eligibility for a passport or visa. When a strict official photograph is required, retaking the portrait correctly can be more suitable than editing an unsuitable source.
