JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF: which file should you upload?
Choose an original image or a clearly prepared print-ready PDF.
The best format is usually the highest-quality original that represents the intended print. Converting a small, compressed photograph to another format does not restore lost detail.
Use an image for one photograph
JPG is a common camera-photo format. PNG can be useful for graphics and clean text, although files may be larger. WebP is also accepted on GiftKida's displayed photo-upload controls. Keep the full-resolution original and avoid repeated editing and resaving at low quality.
An iPhone HEIC file is not one of the accepted upload formats. Export a proper JPG or another supported format before uploading. A screenshot usually reduces detail and should not be treated as an equivalent replacement for the camera file.
Use PDF when the layout is intentional
A print-ready PDF can preserve a layout, page dimensions and the placement of several items. Verify that its page size and content match the physical product ordered. Tell the team which pages to print and how many copies in Print instructions; uploading several PDF pages does not automatically increase the purchased quantity.
Where PDF upload is enabled, encrypted PDFs have a file-password control after uploading. Check the file opens and that the supplied password belongs to that file, not an online account. If possible, provide a print-ready copy that does not require an unnecessary password.
Final checks
The per-file limit shown on the page is 50 MB. Files also need the right detail and crop, not just an accepted extension. Read the resolution guide and quantity guide. Start your order from the photo-print collection after deciding the physical size and total quantity.
